Elixir Updates and Discussion

Lot's of wonderful things have been happening in the Elixir community (1.6 was released, Elixir is now on Google Cloud, etc). Let's discuss these and other important milestones.

Beginners are more than welcome, and this a great chance to get started and get help from more experienced Elixir developers.
